Remember playing “whisper down the lane” when you were a child and by the time the information got to the last person it had changed dramatically and wasn’t the same?
In the past year, we have had many changes to our times of worship, our way of worship, where we worship, and in addition, have had to cancel many events. We worried about how to make these changes known to our parishioners and realized that some of our information about how to reach you was outdated.
We want everyone to have access to the correct information about services and events at Gloria Dei and we need to know how YOU want it delivered.
Soon you will either get a phone call, a letter, or an e-mail asking you this question…how do you want us to contact you?
Some people don’t have access to a computer so we’re establishing a phone tree so that we can call you and leave a message if you’re not there. Others, because they work, prefer to read their personal e-mails on their own time. Still, others like a text message. Whichever way you choose, you won’t be left out of the loop!
When you get this phone call or letter or e mail, we will be asking you for your contact information as well as your birthday (day and month), your wedding anniversary (day and month), and if you have children to be included in church programs.
NONE of this information will go any further than the church office, and will NOT be included in the church directory unless you give permission.
We hope you understand why this is so important and if you have any questions, please give us a call to discuss it.
