Gloria Dei joins Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence with other local congregations on Gun Violence Awareness Day. A program of Heeding, Gun Violence Awareness Days create space for faith communities to come together and address gun violence in their communities and our country.
We come together as one community of faith to honor those lost to gun murders and to demand stronger and effective gun laws and regulations. Events include:
- Worship
- Interfaith Prayer
- Music
- Education about guns and the violence they cause
- Action steps, including legislation
- Philadelphia Memorial to the Lost, a tee-shirt memorial honoring Philadelphia residents lost to gun violence, and their families.
