What if the Bible were less of a rule book than an invitation to relationship with God and the generations of faithful people who have gone before us?
What if, rather than expecting us to submit in the face of divine power, God welcomes our questions and doubts?
How might our understanding of God change if we listened to the women of Scripture, whose stories and perspectives have so often been silenced?
These are the kinds of questions we will be exploring with local author Cordelia Frances Biddle. Cordelia will share selections from her book, Listen to Me: The Women of the Bible Speak Out. There will also be time for us to hear about Cordelia's creative process, and for questions and conversation. Following Cordelia's presentation, we will hold a reception in Riverside Hall.
This event will be free, though donations to support the work of Gloria Dei will be gratefully accepted. Please register for your ticket below.
