Saying Goodbye to Paul Fejko
Dear People of Gloria Dei, Although many of you will have heard the news by now, I write to share that Paul Fejko passed away last night, May 5, 2025. Thankfully, Paul has been very well cared for over the past few weeks, and his passing was peaceful. Updates from his last days are available through Paul's Caring Bridge site: https://www.caringbridge.org/site/1c10be45-8bb9-11ef-be3f-d70460db1976. Thank you to everyone who helped to care for Paul throughout his battle with cancer, and especially to his dear friend Megan Bartlett. Please keep Megan and all of Paul's loved ones in your prayers in the days to come. Please also mark your calendars for Saturday, June 21, at 3pm. We will be holding a memorial service for Paul at Gloria Dei, and he will be laid to rest in the graveyard here. At Paul's request, religion will be kept to a minimum - but we will express our hope that God's love for Paul does not end at the grave. Also, at Paul's insistence, the service will be followed by a party in Riverside Hall, where shoes are optional, drinks will be available, and tie-dye is encouraged. Come with both tears and loving memories to share. In hope and faith, Rev. Chris |

Remembering Fr. Gordon Reid
At the end of March, we shared the news of the death of Father Gordon Reid, who often served at Gloria Dei. Arrangements for a service in honor of Father Gordon have now been made, and all are invited to attend a Solemn High Requiem Mass at St. Clement's Church this coming Saturday, May 10, at 11am. The church is located at 2013 Appletree Street in Philadelphia, PA, and a reception will follow. |
