In the past few years, our Lay Eucharistic Visitor ministry has been on pause. Now, we would like to resume it and need a few people interested in serving in this role.   A lay eucharistic visitor is someone who brings the consecrated bread and wine to a homebound or sick church member. The visitor leads a brief service, offers communion to the individual, and ends with prayer. Lay eucharistic visitors are called not only to share the body and blood of Christ with those who cannot make it to church, but to listen attentively to and uphold the confidentiality of that person. If you feel called to this ministry or want to learn more, please contact me at Those interested will need to participate in a one-day training through the diocese prior to participating.   Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this ministry.
