Since 2003 Marco Federico has applied his passion for historic preservation to halls of Eastern State Penitentiary, Franklin’s grave in Philadelphia, the statuary at the New York Public Library, and historic markers in the Gloria Dei (Old Swedes’) Churchyard. A senior conservator at Philadelphia-based, Materials Conservation, he has extensive experience with conservation treatments, on-site conditions assessments, and documentation.

Watch this special program and find out how some of Philadelphia’s most precious historic sites have been preserved. Among other insights, you’ll also learn how to care for 300 year old grave markers and monuments, how a series of terracotta statues were salvaged and reclaimed for public view, and how a churchyard’s iconic cast iron fence replete with corn-cob finials was saved from tumbling onto a Society Hill sidewalk.

This program will feature a pre-recorded video stream starting at 7pm, which will conclude at 7:45. Then, Marco will be LIVE for your Q&A until 8:30. Attendees must RSVP in advance.
