 ds “lost at sea.” 18th and 19th century sailor life encompassed back b
 reaking work\, adventure\, harsh onboard discipline\, and life threatening
  danger. As recently as 1980\, 34 mariners perished on the SS Poet. Sea so
 ngs and music tell stories\, lighten work\, and illustrate the power and d
 anger of the sea itself. Join The Publick Pleasure as we honor those lost 
 at sea with seafaring songs\, instrumental music\, shanties and ballads.\n
 This program will take place inside the church sanctuary\, followed by a r
 eception in Riverside Hall. For a modest donation\, you can taste deliciou
 s gourmet desserts paired with wine\, coffee or tea. \nAdmission is $35 f
 or Adult and $15 for Student w/ID\, which includes a treat ticket for a de
 ssert or beverage of your choice (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Advanced ad
 ult tickets are available at a discounted rate of $30 each until the day b
 efore the program.\nThis program is hosted by Preserve Old Swedes\, the no
 n-profit organization that preserves and interprets Philadelphia's histori
 c Gloria Dei (Old Swedes') Church and its graveyard. A portion of the proc
 eeds from this event will go toward the preservation of this national hist
 oric site.
